2 amazing "miracles" last week

1. Met someone from exeter in rotterdam, tonnes of connections

2. Sent a group of young people out of a main training session to discuss church. Spoke to adults about creating community. Young people not knowing this, came back in and said the same thing exactly including my phraseology. Adults were amazed, co-incidence ? God- moment ? Ask the adults.

Had an amazing time in the netherlands even though I got the dates wrong unusually but met some great folks and church planters linked to Christian Associates. It really got me thinking . Great guy in Rotterdam Rogier

Bloggin on the bus, part IV

a refreshing weekend ahead, great stuff. Had a heart to heart with my old mate Stevey H... I love growing old with friends, seeing them grow and them seeing you change too. l'm 36 this year and I love being this age, I feel youngish but wiseish , all at the same time. The big thing for me is not to become too cynical and angry as I get older. Off to the Hague, rotterdam and amsterdam next week to meet some great church planters.

following jesus outside the city/camp - hebrews 13 (the message) Great verse - learning how to follow Christ outside the city/camp... Where the lepers and defiled, the sewage, the criminals are. Out of our comfort zone, called to poor, outsiders, widows, orphans, ... Where the action, this "city" is not where I belong, not my home. "Come follow me and I will make you fishers of men" jesus.

What we can learn from missionaries

I'm sitting in church listening to some great missionaries from Africa ... What can we learn for our Western world mission field? Mission is about
1. Local indigenous leadership. 2. Church coming from the culture not an imperialistic cultural thing. 3.they are doing the thinking , what does church / kingdom look like for this group of people ? Many of us in this country have never done this thinking ! Because we have been spoonfed the solution - or never asked the question. 4. Lots of other stuff. Full multi-facetted good news (gospel),

Coaching starts today

Yes I am starting my coaching course today, to grow in the skills of coaching not dominating / controlling people... I'm really excited how this is going to change me and open up greater possibilities.

I have created a blog to record all my written work - essays, throw away comment and a final thesis.
