Wow it has been difficult ! when I looked at my lonely blog diminish. But I'm ready to start back now and am really excited about what God is doing all around here.
Loads of great news too. Here's a letter I've sent to our Diocese here regarding my departure from my current role.
"The past few months I have been exploring possibilities regarding my call as part local church leader and part advisor/trainer/coach of missional and innovative church leaders, youth workers and church planters. From September I will be leaving to help lead a "fresh expression" of church here in Exeter. I also intend to develop a multifaceted coaching, training and speaking business in the remaining time.
You have been great friends and colleagues and I have loved this job: the variety, the being part of a professional and well-equipped team and the privilege of the influence of the position.
Medium term I hope to be able to help my "Youth Work Advisor successors" start their journeys; long term I hope to remain connected to the Diocese and am still very much around to serve in any way I can. I remain at www.jonestribe.co.uk"
God bless all you are and do.
Steve
So new things and I'll share more as time goes on - but this for me is a summer of love - loving God and being loved by Him in a new way; loving my wonderful wife and kids with a re-focussed focus and loving every one I meet or connect with and England winning the world cup.
To tell you the truth I've been spiritually flabby for a while now and you know a life without God inside is no life so I'm off for a spiritual jog and I'll see you later !
