landed !!

Seems like I've been flyin all around Uk for about 8 days now in trains and coachs, 3 seperate times in London with all the transport challenges that go with that. Been fun, been challenging, but time to land, time to refuel, time to sleep.

Sleep in

Well, I'm having a lovely sleep in on a Saturday morning. Got our first U8's football match today .. Hope we win, we need it, played 6 lost 6 last season, it's not good for the self image when you're a 7 year old impressing your parents. We're getting our shape as 2 teams, COME ON YOU HEAVITREE YOUTH !!!! Then some time with some old friends and then cinema night when I get an old white sheet and project some film on the wall with popcorn, great fun! Have a great weekend and suck every last bit of juice out of that thing called life! (do excuse the metaphor - it's a dog with a marrow bone thing)

last night

For those interested here is the powerpoint from last night's talk on Organic Kingdom. Spoke at both our gatherings on the "organic" parables of Jesus where he uses those great seed and plant metaphors, there is so much in them. Went well and really enjoyed getting to know the church more. There are some great people around.

nicely tired

Got that nicely tired feeling. Been a great week of all kinds of challenges, church, family, business. Got a training day tomorrow on Child Protection with a bunch of brand new youth workers. Today met with some friends who are taking "Church on the Edge" project forward, Richard Passmore, Chris Southgate and Jonny Baker - great bunch and we have lots of deep chat. Then a restful weekend with family and speaking twice at ENC on Sunday on the "Organic Kingdom of God. "Mk 4.
