It was 20 years ago today that I wondered out on a lonely beach in west Scotland leaving in my wake a Christian conference of about 5000 people ... As I wondered out along the vast expanse of sand I prayed about the possibility of marrying a fine lass I'd been thinking of ; I must have been half a mile out as I turned and gazed back at the 'holiday camp' ... A lone figure was walking onto the beach - it happened to be the person I was chatting to God about .. out of the 5000 it was her. Married now nearly 17 years - my wife, Larissa .
