I'm nearly holidaying and the kids are. So they stay in bed sleeping in while I do stuff. It's a good job I love the stuff.

Today is Good Friday and a day to focus on the wonderful work of Jesus on the cross.

1.A leader should never be bossy.The whole team should make decisions while the leader will mabye make suggestgions to improve on the ideas.This leads us onto the second piece of advice .

2. Professional leaders make the team feel safe and confident.Try to explain about your profession to your group to let them acknowledge your ability -they should soon feel confident about who and what they are working with.

3.If you are working with a company/business then ,it would be best to give your team time off.And if there is any big events then slowly prepare them ,mabye by doing a couple of small services/about us programs!

4.Be the glue.Once you have chosen to be the leader

new business ventures starting tomorrow

So what is the feel of this new business ?

coaching, training, speaking, lecturing, writing mostly focused around leadership and personal development.

I'm hoping to develop a website before big launch in New Year but the business is sooooo multi-facetted.. here's some of the stuff I will be doing.

1. coaching 1to1 with business executives and others wanting to grow in their lives and careers - some are booked already. If you know of anyone who would appreciate 1to1 coaching do get them to contact me.
2. Lecturing on Leadership Issues on  B.Th and Masters degree courses.
3. Some training in understanding and working with postmodern generations
4. Child Protection Training for various organisations.
5. Setting up and running courses on missional leadership
6. Some speaking opportunities booked.
7. Training and coaching church planters.
8. Some 1to1 coaching with some young peopole in a local school who apparently "need it"
9. Developing online social networking tools for missional leaders
10. Developing some personal development tools and resources
11. lots of other possibilities, my mind is so full with them. But I need to turn dream into reality, stretch but not explode myself ...

It really has been amazing seeing the business flowing in but nothing can be taken for granted, it's also dead scary as I look at my little kids and worry/pray about their future.

Coaching starts today

Yes I am starting my coaching course today, to grow in the skills of coaching not dominating / controlling people... I'm really excited how this is going to change me and open up greater possibilities.

I have created a blog to record all my written work - essays, throw away comment and a final thesis.

I'm going to be engaged in a year's course to become an accreditted coach... distance learning, life-coaching, church leader and planter coaching, etc...I'll publish my work here on the blog. I guess coaching is so near to the jesus-style of leadership and I really want to pick up some cross-discilplinary skills as well as skills for life and ministry generally.
