3. releasing some time to rant about emerging missional church and resource and encourage some of it's leaders.
   • lecturing around "mission in post-modern context", "organic, simple and small church" and leadership matters
   • meeting up with as many missional leaders as possible to encourage and connect them with great people, new friends and resources.
   • maybe do some research into movements and how ideas spread exponentially ...
   • connect with great networks and movements like Together in Mission, Fresh Expressions, DAWN, CMS and Allelon. [more...]

So how do we live?

We receive 1 day a week payment from the Cathedral through some grant funding they have acquired. Occassionally we also pursue some business exploits. Steve has developed some business ideas in the area of coaching, training and speaking and Larissa serves the Diocese (Church of England in Devon) one day, as the adviser for children's work and heads up the children's work, one day, in CCC - City Community Church, here in Exeter. Much like the apostle Paul (also a church planter); sometimes he had to provide for himself through ‘tentmaking activities;’ sometimes he was provided for by people around him. Our business-endeavours are our ‘tent-making’ opportunities. But for the most part our income comes from financial support provided by friends, family and churches who believe in our vision – and in us. Their support makes it possible for us to devote ourselves full-time to the work to which we are called. We look at these people as our supporting team. We keep them updated on the latest facts of our lives and we seek their input in major decisions.

Looking for investors

We are not so much looking for people to give us money, as we are looking for people ‘invest in the work that we do for Christ in Exeter and the UK!’ Would you consider doing so with us in this wonderful mission? Our annual support-goal is £40,000. That sounds like a lot, but remember: this includes mission expenses like travel, ICT, conferences, research costs and books.

Currently our support-level stands at 10% (Jan 2008) — so we have some way to go yet...
